My hair...

Been on this hair since 2009, 3yrs coming. Loads and loads of peeps have known the "hair" to be me and me to be the "hair", now I'm about to take the hair off...Do I take it off? Do I keep keeping it? Will people still be able to recognize me? Will I loose the...? I'm thinking...so help me GOD!
